he's good but not great. Yao is too soft. He needs to get big and bring in the post instead of shooting fades.

Yao Ming is a good Center, but not the best in nba history. theres like Shaq and other Center that are better then him.

yao is good but he has no stamina and is a bit slow - so teams that play small ball can make him ineffective.

His offensive game has gotten a lot better since he's been in the league but his rebounding and defense is still subpar due to his lack of speed.

Hopefully he gets an angry streak going and fights harder for the rebounds. He got embarassed by boozer in the utah series

please guys... define best... Shaq's got more presense than Yao... when you're on the court... who do you fear more? grinding it up with Yao? or Shaq? that's how you tell who's the best Center in basketball... whoever you fear playing the most against... if you're scared of the center, you stay away from the paint... I know there's such a thing as a finesse player... but when you're 7foot6... you are NOT a finesse player...

lol what? were u watching the same game i was? TMac played hard... and Yao got outplayed... putting up 30pts and 6reb doesn't help when you can't stop the other guy from getting 35pts and 25reb...

25points and 10reb from your foward/guard is a bad game? Yao had 6rebounds and 8 turnovers that game... that's not to say TMac wasn't responsible for the loss either with 5 turnovers, but TMac was playing his role...

Yao Ming is awesome...but I still am not sure how he is when he goes up against BIG Physical NBA players.

as i have said before, he needs to get stronger and be more dominant. he shouldn't be getting blocked, when he's the tallest guy in the league

He's starting to train/workout with Hakeem so hopefully he develops some better defence and a bigger array of post moves.

I think yao is good center, but not dominant, he gets tires out too easly, his presence isn't as high as KG, Ben Wallace, or Tim Duncan

yao-ming is the most skilled center in the NBA, though not as dominant as Shaq, he will be next year as Shaq's career comes to glorious end.
